Seminar MatchMaking

The seminar "MATCHMAKING" is based on matching a specific material, material system or process to a digital fabrication system in order to explore new opportunities and applications for circular, material-efficient and resource-friendly architecture. Starting from a wide variety of materials from the biological, mineral, metallic and synthetic material classes, the aim is to match them to a fabrication process that can enhance their circularity potential or open up new possible architectural applications. The ideas developed will be experimented through analogue and digital working methods, examined for their feasibility and scalability on an industrial scale and spatially tested in their architectural application.
