In the upcoming summer semester of 2023, we will be offering the ReGrow Build construction project to Bachelor, Master and Erasmus students as a flexible course. Flexible means that you can take credit for the building project as a studio, seminar, or impromptu project, depending on how much time you have and how committed you are. Registration for the project is already underway and is limited, as we want to start the second phase of construction with you right at the beginning of the semester.

ReGrow is a research project at BUGA 23 (https://www.buga23.de/) in Mannheim, Germany, exploring the possibilities of using local and rapidly renewable resources, using willow and clay as examples. Through the use of digital design and machine manufacturing, the architectural and construction potentials are investigated. In our DDF_Lab in Karlspark in Siemensallee in Karlsruhe, a willow weaving machine was developed together with students and a first demonstrator construction has already been realized. We would like to realize the implementation of the two further construction phases with the focus on microclimate and energy generation from April to July 2023 together with you.
