About

The symposium ReGrow -  Natural Resources in Digital Circular Construction will bring together local and international expertise from academia and entrepreneurship to discuss current challenges and opportunities around the use of natural resources such as fibers,  wood and earth-based materials in architectural design and robotic fabrication. Questioning current production methosd and providing an outlook towards Digital Circular Construction, the event marks the culmination of the two-year research project ReGrow, funded by the State government and launched by five professorships of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) - Digital Design & Fabrication (DDF), design of structures (dos), Bauphysik & Technischer Ausbau (fbta), Lichttechnischen Institut (LTI) and Institut für Industriebetriebslehre und Industrielle Produktion (IIP) in cooperation with the industry partner FibR GmbH Stuttgart. The symposium will take place at the Federal Horticultural Show in Mannheim (BUGA23) on September 29, 2023.

The event is planed to be accredited as 8 training hours by the Chamber of Architecs AKBW.

Participation is free; a BUGA23 (28€) ticket is needed.
